The first public release of Archyv.
Archyv is a batch tool for photographers working on a Mac. It reads the information your camera and your editing software already wrote into your files — capture dates, camera and lens, location, keywords, copyright, credit — and uses it to do the filing work for you:
- rename files from their own metadata, or from a pattern you define
- sort them into dated or subject-based folder structures
- transfer them between drives, resolving name clashes as it goes
- find duplicates across folders
- convert images between formats
- review and edit metadata across a whole selection at once
- apply photographer credit and copyright in bulk
Archyv keeps a record of the runs it performs, so a rename or a move can be undone afterwards from its processing history.
System requirements: macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later. Runs natively on both Intel and Apple silicon Macs.
