Reading a folder’s photo information is much faster. File Transfer, Metadata Renaming, Manual Renaming, the Metadata Editor and Scan & Select used to open each file in turn as they worked through a selection. They now read the whole selection in one pass before starting, so a large folder gets going sooner, and the progress bar shows a real count of how far along it is rather than sitting still.
Files stored in iCloud Drive are made available during that same pass, so a cloud folder no longer has to be downloaded by hand first.
Crash reports are readable again. If Archyv does crash, the report it sends now says exactly where it happened, so the problem can be found and fixed. Reports from earlier versions could not be read at all. This was the reason this version was released.
